Mandrel Rebuild · Hot Strip Mill

Hot mill mandrel rebuilt to roll 4.5M tons in a single campaign.

A Southeast Steel Producer was seeing mandrel failures at 800k tons and accepting it as normal. We reverse-engineered the entire mandrel, upgraded material grades, changed parts, and delivered a rebuilt unit that ran over 4x the tonnage of previous rebuilds from other shops.
